Israel started demolishing the building
On 7 October 2023, Hamas terrorists entered Sderot in 6 trucks and massacred everybody they saw in the streets and infiltrated the police station, There plan was to massacre many more people after they conquer the police station. The IDF (Israel Defence Force) had to destroy the police station in order to eliminate the heavily armed terrorists.

I recorded this Iron Dome interception from my bedroom window.
The rockets you see rising and the smoke are from the Iron Dome interceptor rockets.
Hear the woman screaming from fear.
Note the tower of speakers on the roof to warn of incoming rockets from Gaza.
The walls are very thick and the windows are very small to give some protection from Qassam rockets.
There are also security palisades (fence) for protection in the event that terrorists from Gaza penetrate the town.
Should any nation have to live like this?
May 2021 onslaught of rockets from Gaza on Israeli civilians
An apartment in Sderot struck by a Qassam rocket from Gaza on Wednesday May 12th 2001. A 5 year old boy was wounded in this apartment and passed away a few hours later.
This room was the safe room with a steel shield covering the window but the Qassam rocket struck at the top of the steel shield and blew the shield off. After this strike it was decided to make the steel shields thicker.
This petrol station in Ashdod was struck by a Qassam rocket and the fuel tanker caught fire. The amazing thing is the fuel tanker did not explode despite the very high temperature of the flames.
